"Professionalism through Education"
Wyoming FOP is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of law enforcement in the state of Wyoming.
The National Fraternal Order of Police is the world’s largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, with more than 377,000 members in more than 2,200 lodges. We are the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. We are committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement and employee representation. No one knows the dangers and the difficulties faced by today’s police officers better than another officer, and no one knows police officers better than the NFOP.
Committed to defending FOP Members and preserving the rights of law enforcement officers.
WRS administers eight defined benefit pension plans and a 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan, offering comprehensive coverage and options to meet the diverse needs of our members. Coming Soon!
The museum is on the move from the old State Penitentiary in Rawlins to the Wyoming Territorial Prison Historic Site.
We believe by partnering with the Territorial Prison Historic Site in the creation of a new exhibit from our current collection, our mission of promoting the State of Wyoming’s long Law Enforcement history will be fulfilled and expanded upon. The Territorial Prison Historic Site has an incredible rich history and is dedicated to the preservation of our state’s history through research, conservation and education.
The museum is in need of uniforms (older the better), more day to day equipment older and newer (i.e. handcuff cases, portable radios, duty belts, old body armor, saps, flashlights, old vehicle lights, radios, etc) OLD law enforcement photographs are much-needed showing officers in uniforms, with cars.
